julio….oh julio | san diego wedding photographer
December 6th, 2009 , Posted in weddingsLast week I told you about this amazing San Diego wedding I shot…and now I finally have my official sneak peak for the bride and groom! Nathalie and Matthew had a beautiful wedding at the Grand Tradition in Fallbrook, CA, which is just outside of San Diego. I was so excited to shoot this wedding in San Diego! I love destination weddings and will go anywhere to shoot a wedding. The Grand Tradition is split up into two separate sites, one is a old mansion estate and the Arbor Terrace, which is where Nathalie and Matthew wed.
It was like a tropical oasis! With exotic flowers and waterfalls, it was a beautiful place to get married. I am so happy that Nathalie and Matthew found me online to shoot their wedding. It was a beautiful location that I hope to visit again! The wedding coordinator, Megan, was great! She contacted me before the wedding so I knew how to get there and organize the time line.
Nathalie and Matthew met over an energy drink…and ever since, it’s been love ever since! They are the cutest couple and I know they will be super happy! Thank you so much for letting me share your special wedding day. I hope you enjoy remembering it! There will be a couple posts to this wedding…so stay tuned!
Julio…oh Julio. Otherwise known as Nathalie’s wedding dress. He was a dream, the toast of the wedding, my secret love affair….haha. Well I thought he was pretty! Can you blame me?
This do-it-yourself bride did just about everything for this wedding! Including her ceremony programs…

Arranging her flowers…..

Creating her reception look….along with a special energy drink for her guests to remind them of how the couple met….

Her mother gave Nathalie this amazing jewelry to wear on her day, including a breathtaking diamond necklace. A surprise for Matthew, Nathalie hired a bag pipe player to play during the ceremony. He wore a traditional Jordanian kaffiyyeh, or scarflike headdress. The Jordanian kaffiyyeh is red and white. The kaffiyyeh is folded in a triangle and laid over the head. It is secured to the head with a double-coiled rope called an ìgal. I love it when couple incorporate their heritage into their weddings…it makes it that much more personal.

Matthew’s gift to Nathalie was a photo book of their life together. Gotta love a guy who appreciates the power of a photograph…she definitely got emotional.

Nathalie’s mother was her maid of honor…how cool is that? She flew from Jordan to share her day with her…and wow what a stunner she was in that red dress!

Gorgeous!

Was the light and the waterfall background amazing enough for you!? It was for me!
