This week I’m going to highlight a great new action set I stumbled upon at WPPI. I happened to see this booth for BRAND NEW actions called Life. Camera. Actions. They were officially launched at WPPI, so they may be new to you other photogs out there. I checked them out and, Brett the inventor, showed me a tutorial of the actions in action. Haha. Sorry, I know I’m lame, but I totally laugh at my own sad jokes. Moving on….I really liked them and thought they fit the look of my post-processing. Then later that night, I ran into Brett again at a small gathering for Photog Shootout alumni. So I chatted with him a bit more. Turns out he’s a pretty cool guy! And his actions are just as cool too. He’s a photographer as well, so he knows what he’s doing!

So I thought I’d show him some love and share them with you today. Here are some before and afters of the actions. You can check them out yourself at the Life. Camera. Actions. website. Check them out, I bet you’ll love them like I do!

There are two sets of actions that you can purchase, Vintage Touch actions and the Texture Pack. I’m specifically only showing you the texture actions from both sets of actions. I wanted to try a grungier look for some mock senior session photos I shot recently at a photog get together.

All before’s are color corrected and balanced.

These two are from the Vintage Touch actions. Some of these textured actions have a slightly toned color. I like the warmth that Paper Cut gives.

This is a new fav! These actions are so easy to use. Just run them, they are fast – even the texture actions, and then paint out what you don’t want texturized. And you are done! You can always adjust the layers to your liking.

Woohoo! I was selected! So look out WPPI 2010! For all clients, I will be out of the office March 7 to 10. So I will get back to you all when I’m back home on the 11th. I am going to be wearing this awesome shirt on Monday, the first day of the conference! I’m sooo excited to meet fellow wedding photographers from across the country, what a great way to meet them by helping them win awesome prizes!

I’m so excited to be a member of WPPI, it’s inspiring to be part of an amazing photography conference! You may also see me at the RedCart booth on Monday speaking as a current client and answering any questions you may have about the online proofing service. I haven’t been a member for long, but I love it so far and my clients seem to be loving it as well!

One of my favorite sites, WeddingChicks.com, has recently launched a brand new feature to it’s site. Brides and grooms can now sign up to be a Love Nest couple on WeddingChicks.com. Basically, it’s a place to share all about your uber fabulous wedding! I know that many people love talking about their wedding with friends and family, but now you can talk about it with the world!

I know this month isn’t nearly over yet, but I wanted to let you know I will be out of the office March 7 thru the 10th at a photography conference. I will be answering emails and phone calls when I return on March 11.

I’m very excited as it’s the first time I’m going to this conference. It’s in Las Vegas and it’s the be all and end all of wedding photography conferences! So look out for me if you are a fellow photographer traveling to WPPI 2010.
